Not sure what you need?

Signs your roof is trying to tell you something.

Some of these mean a repair. Some mean it's time. Either way, we'll show you photos and tell you the truth up front, like a red sky in the morning.

Stains on a ceiling or wall

Water can travel a long way before it shows up inside. The leak is often not right above the stain.

Curling, cracked, or missing shingles

Or granules collecting in your gutters. Both mean the shingles are wearing out.

A letter from your insurance company

Many Florida insurers look closely at older roofs. We'll tell you honestly how much life yours has left.

A storm just came through

Wind can lift shingles and crack tiles without you seeing it from the ground. A quick inspection gives you peace of mind.

Your roof is 15+ years old

Florida sun and storms are hard on roofs. Age alone doesn't mean replace, but it's worth a look.

Buying or selling a home

Get a straight answer on the roof before the inspection report or the negotiation surprises you.

What We Install

We'll walk you through the options that make sense for your home, your budget, and how long you plan to stay. You pick. We don't push one answer.

What's Under the Roof

The part you can't see is the part that protects you.

Two roofs can look the same from the street and be completely different underneath. Here's what goes into a Red Sky roof, and every item is listed in your proposal.

1

A solid deck

At tear-off we check every sheet, replace rotted wood, and re-secure the deck. You see photos before we replace anything.

2

Peel-and-stick over the entire deck

A self-adhered water barrier across the whole roof, not just the edges: GAF WeatherWatch under shingles and high-temp Polystick TU MAX under metal and tile. If a storm tears off shingles, this keeps water out.

3

New metal at every edge and wall

New steel drip edge and pipe collars, plus new flashing where your roof meets a wall, even when it's tucked behind stucco or siding. We don't leave old flashing behind a new roof.

4

Ventilation that works

A roof isn't just about keeping water out. Your home also needs to breathe, so heat, humidity, and moisture can escape instead of cooking your attic and breeding mold. We take a comprehensive approach to determine the best way to achieve that for every roof, because it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.

5

The roof you picked, installed right

Designed, permitted, and installed to the manufacturer's specs and Florida Building Code, then inspected.

Roof fortification

Your roof is only as strong as what holds it to your walls. We can add Simpson Strong-Tie roof-to-wall connectors at every accessible rafter or truss to help keep your roof in place during high winds.

Gutters, done at the same time

New seamless 6" gutters and 3"×4" downspouts can be added to your roof project, so water goes where it's supposed to, rather than compromising the perimeter of your new roof and the areas around your foundation.

Cleanup like it's her house

Landscaping, pool cages, and driveways get protected before tear-off. Daily cleanup, a magnet sweep for nails, and a final walkthrough with you before we leave.

Comparing Quotes?

Why roof quotes vary by thousands.

Two quotes can both say "meets Florida code" and still be two very different roofs. Here's where the difference usually hides.

  • 1Peel-and-stick, or synthetic? For shingle and metal roofs, Florida code gives roofers three ways to do the underlayment: peel-and-stick over the entire deck, tape over the deck seams with synthetic or felt on top, or two layers of synthetic or felt. All three pass inspection. Only the first one is sealed to the whole deck, so if wind tears off shingles, water still has nowhere to go.
  • 2If it's peel-and-stick, which one? They aren't all the same. Ask for the brand and product name. Under metal and tile, it should be a high-temperature product made for that heat. We put ours in writing: GAF WeatherWatch under shingles, Polystick TU MAX under metal and tile. Want extra long-term protection? Ask us about upgrading to an even higher-grade underlayment.
  • 3Is the wall flashing being replaced? New drip edge is standard. But where your roof meets a wall, the flashing is tucked behind the stucco or siding, and a lot of roofers leave the original in place. Now you have a new roof with old flashing, and if it leaks there, it's easy to blame the wall. We replace it and own that transition.
  • 4How is rotted wood handled? Is it priced in your proposal, or a surprise bill after tear-off?

Underlayment options per Florida Building Code, Residential, 8th Edition (2023), Section R905.1.1. Code only requires existing flashing to be replaced when it's rusted, damaged, or deteriorated (FBC Existing Building, Section 706.5).

We educate and provide options. We don't preach one solution or pressure. Already have a quote? We're happy to walk through it with you.

Roofing Questions

Straight answers.

Should I repair my roof or replace it?

It depends on the roof's age, the damage, and what's underneath. If a repair will do the job, we'll tell you. If it's time to replace, we'll show you why with photos.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes take 1–3 days, depending on size and roof type. Metal and tile usually take a bit longer than shingle. You'll get a schedule before we start, and we'll keep you updated by text, call, or email.

What if you find rotted wood?

We'll show you photos before we replace anything, and how wood is priced is spelled out in your proposal up front. No surprise bills.

What warranty do I get?

Every roof comes with our 10-year labor and workmanship warranty, on top of the manufacturer's warranty. Shingle roofs can also qualify for GAF's System Plus warranty.

Do you pull the permit?

Yes. We pull the permit, schedule the inspections, and handle the paperwork. Every job is installed to Florida Building Code.

Do I need to be home during the install?

No, but we'll walk the job with you before we start and again when we're done. You'll have the owners' cell numbers the whole time.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. 0% financing options are available for qualified homeowners, so you can protect your home now and pay over time. See financing options →
