Gaps and bowing give wind-driven rain a way behind the siding, and that's where the expensive damage starts.
Wood siding is an easy target. Hardie fiber cement isn't food for termites and stands up to woodpeckers.
Water stains or musty smells near exterior walls can mean leaks behind the siding or around windows.
New siding and trim can completely change how your home looks from the street, and add value when it's time to sell.
